Is it difficult to install a combo drive on a Apple iBook G3?
I just bought an Apple iBook G3 which does not come with a internal combo drive, but instead just a CD. I am willing to have the ablity to play DVDs, so I need that combo drive. I see some sites have them for sale, combo players – How hard would it be to install a Middle Tech-Savy person?
Combo drives were originally in order to build models from Apple (the 14 "models only, nothing else). The website below grade installation as difficult. The website below contains the installation instructions.
