Hard Drive Pin Settings: Which way did you put the pin where you want to set as the primary drive?
Do you put the horizontal spindle or vertical, and put you all the way left or right when you want to set the primary hard drive? Maxwell I have a 40GB hard drive, and it worked in my old PC, but when I put in the Dell (I took the hard drive of the Dell and replaced by it), the computer will not start. It does not recognize the hard drive and I think it's because I've put in place the pin in the wrong way. Power someone please refer me to either an image or something visual on the Internet so I can compare?
It depends on the model of your drive, check the label on the hard disk. If it is not, go to the Maxtor site and find the Model of your reader and the search there.
